Harassment is mistreatment of an employee based on a characteristic such as age, race, religion, sex, sexual preference or orientation, marital status, pregnancy, skin color, physical disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, or military or veteran status
Harassment at work affects your ability to perform your job. All employees have the right to work in an office or workplace that is free from harassment.
Harassment can take many forms, it can be verbal when words are said that are offensive.
Harassment can be physical when there is touching that is offensive.
It can be a mixture of both. It’s hard to know sometimes whether what is happening at work is harassment, therefore, it’s better to call and speak to someone to see if your rights are being violated.
What should you do if you feel you have been harassed at work?
If you or someone you know has been harassed at work, give our offices a call. If you are still working there, we can help you take steps to stop the harassment. Do not be afraid to reach out for help. The call is confidential, no one will be told about it unless and until you tell us you want us to take action for you.

There are a number of remedies available to employees who are found to have been subjected to harassment or retaliation, or both at work. You may be entitled to receive your loss of wages, any promotions, bonuses or raises you were denied, the benefits you may have lost. You may also be entitled to recover for the emotional toll that the harassment and retaliation had on you.
